Sergio Perez has started twelve United States Grand Prix races and come away with points from nine of them. He has been on the podium once.
Twelve starts, 74 points, one third place. It is a record built on turning up and collecting rather than on any single big afternoon.
Four teams, one podium, and a point from the pit lane
The Sauber debut in 2012 brought eleventh, and the McLaren year after that seventh. Then came six seasons at Force India and Racing Point in which he finished eighth four times, fifth once and seventeenth once. Dependable rather than dramatic.
2019 is the entry worth pausing on. He started from the pit lane and still finished tenth, a lap down, for a single point. Very few drivers manage to score at the Circuit of the Americas after giving up the entire grid.

The Red Bull move finally produced a trophy. Third in 2021 from third on the grid is his only podium here, and it came in the same race Max Verstappen won. Fourth in 2022 and fourth again in 2023 followed, both from ninth.
His last visit, in 2024, was a seventh place from ninth. Then a season out of the car.

Back at Austin with Cadillac
No win, no pole and no fastest lap, but only three blank weekends in twelve. The nine scoring finishes are more than any other driver on the grid has managed here without winning the race.
He returns on 25 October in the C26 with Cadillac, a team yet to score a point this season. On this record he is the last driver you would bet against dragging something out of a difficult car.
