Sergio Perez possesses the best record of anyone active on the grid in terms of the Dutch Grand Prix. He has been to the race four times and earned points in all four and accumulated 34 points during that period, thereby making his track record considerably better than most of his rivals' records. However, that wasn't enough for him to finish on the podium in the race. While at Zandvoort, he made some good points and the elusive podium finish.

Four for four in the points

What stands out is the fact that he has scored points in every single edition of the Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort. Throughout these four events, he managed to earn on average eight and a half points at each occasion (this is something quite rare at Zandvoort where the leaders practically disappear). His best score came in the year 2023 when he got the fourth place and scored twelve points being seventh on the grid.

Context matters here. All four of Perez's Dutch Grands Prix came as Max Verstappen's team mate, during the years Verstappen won this race three times in a row in front of an orange grandstand. Being the other Red Bull at Zandvoort was one of the least rewarding jobs in the sport.

Be that as it may, Perez never once failed to score. In a period when consistency was the whole of his job description, Zandvoort is one of the venues where he delivered it.

The podium that never came

No pole, no win, no fastest lap and no podium, despite four starts in the fastest car on the grid. Fourth in 2023 is the high-water mark, and it is a genuine gap in an otherwise strong record.

Perez's Dutch Grand Prix record is quietly one of the better ones in this series. Thirty four points from four visits and not a single blank weekend. It is just missing the result that would have made anyone remember it.
