Oliver Bearman has raced the United States Grand Prix once and came away with points, which is more than several far more experienced drivers managed that afternoon.
One start, two points, a ninth place. There is no pattern to read here yet, only a clean first attempt.
Eighth on the grid, ninth at the flag
The 2025 race was his first at the Circuit of the Americas. He qualified eighth for Haas, which was among the better Saturdays of his rookie season, and finished ninth.
Losing one place across a race distance from a top-ten grid slot is, at this circuit, close to holding station. The two points were the result of the qualifying lap more than anything that happened on Sunday.

It also followed the same shape as his Baku weekends, where a top-ten grid slot has twice turned into points and a fifteenth has turned into nothing.
For a driver in his first full season, finishing a United States Grand Prix inside the points at the first attempt is a reasonable marker to set.
Oliver Bearman's United States GP record year by year
Every United States Grand Prix start, with the grid slot it came from and what it was worth.
| Season | Grid | Finish | Points | Team |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2025 | 8 | P9 | 2 | Haas |
One row, and a useful one
No win, no podium, no pole and no fastest lap, from a single visit. What the row does say is that he qualified in the top eight and converted it, which is the whole job in a midfield car.
He returns on 25 October in the VF-26. A second scoring finish here would double the record in one afternoon.
