Esteban Ocon's Dutch Grand Prix record is the most consistent on the current grid, and not in a way he would choose. Six starts at Zandvoort have produced finishes of ninth, ninth, tenth, fifteenth, tenth and a retirement.
He has never finished better than ninth here. Not once in six attempts has he cracked the top eight, which is a remarkable run of landing in almost exactly the same place every year.
Five visits, one ceiling
The best of it came in the first two, both with Alpine. Ninth in 2021 from eighth on the grid, then ninth again in 2022 having started twelfth. Two points each time, and on both occasions a solid afternoon of holding position rather than making progress.
Zandvoort is unforgiving that way. The track is narrow, the racing line is often the only line, and a driver who qualifies in the middle of the pack tends to finish in the middle of the pack. Ocon's record is that principle written down five times.
The Alpine years and the Haas reset
Four of his five Dutch Grands Prix came with Alpine, and the last of them was the worst: fifteenth on the grid in 2024, fifteenth at the flag and lapped. However the move to Haas for 2025 produced a small correction, eighteenth on the grid converted into tenth and a single point.
2026: the run of finishes ends
The one thing Ocon's Zandvoort record always had was reliability. He had finished all five of his Dutch Grands Prix, even the bad ones. That ended in 2026.
He qualified fifteenth and retired, classified nineteenth. No points, and for the first time here, no finish either.

A record defined by margins
Six points from six starts. No podium, no pole, no fastest lap and no lap led. Despite that, the pattern is not one of poor driving so much as machinery that keeps putting him in the part of the field where Zandvoort offers nothing.
Ocon's Dutch Grand Prix record is a study in the modern midfield. Six visits, five finishes, and a best of ninth. Zandvoort has been neither kind nor cruel to him, it has simply given back exactly what the car was worth.
