Arvid Lindblad had never raced at Baku before 2026. He started fifteenth, finished seventh and took six points, the second biggest climb of the afternoon.
One start, six points, a best finish of seventh. It is the shortest record in this series and one of the more encouraging ones.
Fifteenth on the grid was not supposed to be worth six points
Baku is not a circuit where a rookie is expected to make up ground. There is one serious overtaking zone, the walls punish an optimistic move, and the received wisdom is that you finish somewhere close to where you start. Lindblad gained eight places.
Only Kimi Antonelli moved further, going from sixteenth to fifth. Some of that came from attrition, because seven cars failed to reach the flag, but Racing Bulls still left with more points from this race than either McLaren or Williams.

Seventh also put him ahead of his own team mate Liam Lawson, who started eleventh and finished twelfth, on a weekend when Lawson had just come back from three rounds in the senior Red Bull.

Every Azerbaijan Grand Prix start, with the grid slot it came from and what it was worth.
| Season | Grid | Finish | Points | Team |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2026 | 15 | P7 | 6 | Racing Bulls |
One data point, but a useful one
No win, no podium, no pole and no fastest lap, and a single row in the table, so there is nothing here that qualifies as a pattern yet. What there is instead is a clean first visit to the circuit most likely to end one badly.
Six points also made it one of the better afternoons of his rookie season. On a day when the front of the grid mostly held station and the chaos happened behind it, coming through the middle of the field without touching anything was the whole job.
