The 2025 debut was the tidy version. He qualified fourth for Mercedes in his rookie season and brought it home fourth for twelve points, one of only seven top-five finishes he managed across a 24-start year. At a circuit that has taken cars off far more experienced drivers, a first visit with no drama at all was the notable part.
2026 was the opposite kind of afternoon and produced almost the same result. Sixteenth on the grid left him with the entire midfield to clear, and he finished fifth.
Eleven places gained was the largest move of the race, ahead of Arvid Lindblad with eight. It also came on a day when seven cars retired, so a share of it was attrition, but he was the only driver to climb out of the bottom half of the grid and finish inside the top five.
