Dan Gurney was an American Formula 1 driver who contested 87 Grands Prix between 1959 and 1970, racing 10 different teams, starting with Ferrari. He made his debut at the 1959 French Grand Prix, and he took 4 wins, the first at the 1962 French Grand Prix and the last at the 1967 Belgian Grand Prix, among 19 podium finishes. Gurney scored 133 championship points, making his final start at the 1970 British Grand Prix. He also took 3 pole positions.
