Autódromo Oscar y Juan Gálvez

The Autódromo Oscar y Juan Gálvez in Buenos Aires hosted the Argentine Grand Prix from 1953, the first World Championship race held outside Europe or the United States. Its early years belong to Juan Manuel Fangio, who won his home race four times.

The facility contains several possible layouts, and Formula 1 used different combinations across its history. Extreme heat was a recurring feature — the 1955 race was run in temperatures above 50°C on track, and most drivers had to share their cars with relief drivers to finish.

The circuit returned for a final run of Grands Prix from 1995 to 1998 before dropping off the calendar.
