Alberto Ascari was an Italian Formula 1 driver who contested 32 world championship races between 1950 and 1955, racing Ferrari, Maserati and Lancia. He won the World Drivers' Championship 2 times (1952, 1953), taking 13 race wins and 17 podium finishes along the way. He made his debut at the 1950 Monaco Grand Prix, and made his final start at the 1955 Monaco Grand Prix.
