The Story
Piero Taruffi was an Italian Formula 1 driver who contested 18 Grands Prix between 1950 and 1956, racing Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Mercedes and Vanwall. He made his debut at the 1950 Italian Grand Prix, and his sole victory came at the 1952 Swiss Grand Prix, one of 5 career podium finishes. Taruffi scored 41 championship points, making his final start at the 1956 Italian Grand Prix.
