Kimi Antonelli has competed in only one race at the Dutch Grand Prix, and this was one of the rare weekends during his rookie season that did not go as expected.Starting in eleventh place, finishing sixteenth, and scoring no points. A driver who had been mentioned throughout the year as the future star from Mercedes had to wake from his dreams at the Zandvoort circuit.
A rookie afternoon at a rookie's nightmare
Zandvoort is a difficult place to learn. The track is narrow, the banking punishes a driver who gets the entry wrong and there is very little margin between a quick lap and the barrier. Qualifying eleventh left him in the worst possible position, just outside the top ten and with nowhere to go on Sunday.
He finished sixteenth. It remains his only visit, and it is the outlier in a season that otherwise established him quickly.
A single start is not a record so much as a starting point. Despite the result, the wider picture is that Antonelli has since become a front-running driver, and the version of him that returns to Zandvoort will have very little in common with the one that struggled there in 2025.

The gap in the resume
No points, no podium, no pole and no fastest lap. Of all the entries in this series it is the one most likely to be rewritten quickly, because the driver and the car have both moved on considerably since.
Antonelli's Dutch Grand Prix record is a single blank afternoon that already looks out of date. Zandvoort caught him early, and it is unlikely to get another chance that easy.
