About Las Vegas Street Circuit
The Las Vegas Strip Circuit debuted in 2023, running anti-clockwise through the city with a 1.9 km straight down Las Vegas Boulevard itself. The race starts at 10pm local time, which makes it the latest start on the calendar and produces the coldest track temperatures Formula 1 encounters.
That cold is the defining engineering problem. Track temperatures in the low teens make it extremely difficult to get tyres into their working range, and graining is a persistent issue. Combined with a low-grip street surface and only a handful of slow corners to generate heat, it produces a weekend where warming the tyres matters more than saving them.
The layout is built for speed. Three long straights and low-downforce setups produce top speeds among the highest of the year, and the long braking zones at the end of them make overtaking straightforward by street-circuit standards.
Notable facts
