Charles Leclerc's Dutch Grand Prix record is a study in extremes. Twice he has stood on the Zandvoort podium in red. Twice he has failed to see the flag at all. There is not much in between, and that says a good deal about both the driver and the Ferraris he has been handed.
Six starts, two podiums, two retirements and no win yet. Here is how a record this streaky came together.
Two podiums, both hard earned
Leclerc's Zandvoort high points came in 2022 and 2024, both third places. The 2022 result followed a front-row start, back when Ferrari still fancied their title chances. The 2024 podium was arguably the better drive, hauling a car that was not the fastest on the day up to third behind the McLarens and Max Verstappen.
No pole here, and no win, but two trips to the rostrum is a solid return on a circuit that rarely rewards Ferrari.
The other side of the ledger is blunt. In 2023, a floor and undertray problem ended his race and left him classified 19th. In 2025 he retired again from sixth on the grid. Zandvoort gives Leclerc very little margin, and on the days the car has faltered, there has been no quiet midfield finish to fall back on.
2026: a finish, finally
After two retirements in three years, the 2026 race was the one where the Ferrari simply held together. Leclerc qualified sixth, finished fifth and took the fastest lap of the race on his way there.
Ten points is not the headline he wanted at a circuit where he already has two podiums. It is, though, the first time since 2024 that he has seen the flag here, and the fastest lap says the pace was never the problem.

Leclerc is still chasing the top step
The gap in this record is obvious: no Zandvoort win, and not even a pole to point to. For a driver of Leclerc's qualifying pedigree that is a surprise. The raw pace has clearly been there in the podium years. What has been missing is a weekend where the car holds together and lands him on the front row at the same time.
