The Story
Tony Maggs was a South African Formula 1 driver who contested 27 Grands Prix between 1961 and 1965, racing Lotus-Climax, Cooper-Climax, BRM and Lotus-BRM. He made his debut at the 1961 British Grand Prix, and stood on the podium 3 times, with a best finish of second place at the 1962 French Grand Prix. Maggs scored 26 championship points, making his final start at the 1965 South African Grand Prix.
