René Arnoux was a French Formula 1 driver who contested 151 Grands Prix between 1978 and 1989, racing 5 different teams, starting with Martini. He made his debut at the 1978 Belgian Grand Prix, and he took 7 wins, the first at the 1980 Brazilian Grand Prix and the last at the 1983 Dutch Grand Prix, among 22 podium finishes.
