The Story
Mike Spence was a British Formula 1 driver who contested 36 Grands Prix between 1963 and 1968, racing Lotus-Climax, Lotus-BRM and BRM. He made his debut at the 1963 Italian Grand Prix, and stood on the podium 1 time, with a best finish of third place at the 1965 Mexican Grand Prix. Spence scored 27 championship points, making his final start at the 1968 South African Grand Prix. He also took 1 pole position.
