Carlos Pace was a Brazilian Formula 1 driver who contested 72 Grands Prix between 1972 and 1977, racing March, Surtees, Brabham and Brabham-Alfa Romeo. He made his debut at the 1972 South African Grand Prix, and his sole victory came at the 1975 Brazilian Grand Prix, one of 6 career podium finishes. Pace scored 58 championship points, making his final start at the 1977 South African Grand Prix. He also took 1 pole position.
