About Pescara Circuit
The Pescara Circuit hosted a single World Championship race, the 1957 Pescara Grand Prix, and it remains the longest circuit ever used in Formula 1 at 25.838 km — more than three times the length of Spa.
Laid out on public roads along the Adriatic coast and up into the hills behind Pescara, it combined a long seafront straight with narrow village sections and a mountain climb. A single lap took over nine minutes.
The race was added to the calendar late, after several other events were cancelled, and Ferrari initially refused to enter. Stirling Moss won for Vanwall by more than three minutes.
