About Okayama International Circuit
Okayama International Circuit, then known as TI Circuit Aida, hosted the Pacific Grand Prix in 1994 and 1995 — a second Japanese round created so the country could stage two Formula 1 races in a season.
The circuit is short, narrow and technical, with a tight hairpin complex that made overtaking extremely difficult. Its remote location and limited facilities made it unpopular with teams, and the event did not survive beyond two runnings.
Michael Schumacher won both Pacific Grands Prix, and clinched his second world championship at the 1995 race.
